Funeral service for Mrs. Nadine Yvonne Maxine (Rodgers) Brown, 79, of Graham, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Graham First Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at the Graham Cemetery in Graham. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Nadine was born March 23, 1932, at Henrietta, Okla., to the late Sterling R. Rodgers and Lottie B. (Walker) Rodgers. She departed this life Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Ardmore.
Nadine was raised at Sulphur attending school there. She married the late Mr. Nolan Edward Brown April 25, 1953, at Gainesville, Texas. They shared 57 years together residing at Graham.
Nadine was a custodian for many years at the Healdton Nursing Home. She also worked at Felts Superette in Lone Grove as a cashier from 1988-1992. Nadine enjoyed making braided rugs and sewing, always being quite the seamstress.
Preceding her in death is her parents; husband, Nolan- August 4, 2010; and three infant sisters.
Survivors include daughters, Valerie Feiler of Tulsa, Nita Duvak and husband, Alvin of Lone Grove, Phyllis Graham of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Connie Burns of Graham; sons, Tony Brown of Wilson, Phillip Brown of Ardmore, Steven Burns of Graham; sister, Darlene Sigrist and husband, Ron of Oklahoma City; brother, Rodney Rodgers of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Mary and James Burns of Thackerville; numerous nieces and nephews and host of friends.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Burns, Travis Graham, Darrell Rigney, Daniel Burns, Roger Burns, and Bob Burns.
Family visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
