Graveside services for Bertha Mildred Pace will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009,  at Provence Cemetery with Henry Buynar officiating.


Bertha was born February 26, 1926, at Hatton, Arkansas to Edwin Lewis and Nettie Irene Webb Eberhart. She passed from this life on June 27, 2009, in Ardmore at the age of 83.


She was a lifelong resident of this area. She and John H. Pace were married at Lordsburg, New Mexico on January 15, 1946. She had a natural green thumb and enjoyed nature, fishing, flowers and spending time with her family. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.


She is survived by her sons Jerry Howell of Ardmore, Herman Buynar of Missouri, John H. Pace of Ardmore, “adopted” son Monty Herwick of Dickson; daughters Janie Randolph of Ardmore, Mary Brace of Fort Worth, Texas, sisters Ruth Minyard of Ardmore, Onafay Douthit of Ardmore, Vivian Estacio of California, 27 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren, close family friend George Genn of Springer, and faithful pet Satie.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John H. Pace, son Jimmy Lee Howell, brother Joseph Warren Eberhart, and granddaughters Kenna Pace, Monica Howell. Pallbearers will be Jerry Lee Howell, Jr., Kelly Howell, Timmy Howell, Monty Herwick, John H. Pace, III, Jeffrey Farmer.


Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6465 South Yale, Suite 206, Tulsa, OK 74136.
