Michael S. Naifeh was born June 9, 1953, in Shawnee, Okla., to Kallem Ellis “Charlie” and Bernice Louise (Coffelt) Naifeh, and passed from this life on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the age of 56 years, eight months and two days.

Michael attended and graduated from Durant High School and continued his education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and later worked for Michelin North America Plant in Ardmore in the Safety Division.

Michael was of the Episcopal faith and a member of the Elks, Masons, Shriners and Friends of Bill W. Michael loved the game of golf, but what he loved the most was being around friends and family, and making new friends and family. Michael will be greatly missed by all who knew dearly loved him.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bernice Naifeh; aunt, Sadie Razook; and sister-in-law, Vickie Naifeh.

Those loved ones left behind to cherish Michael’s memory are his brothers, Ellis Naifeh of Durant, Terry Naifeh and wife, Kay of Madill, and Dennis Naifeh and wife, Sheree of Durant; daughter, Kim Naifeh Wagoner and husband, Chris; son, Michael Naifeh and wife, Julie, both of Durant; daughters, Hailey Naifeh and Zoe Naifeh both of Grandbury, Texas, and Karlie Naifeh of Ardmore; cousin, Robbie Webb and husband, Scott of Madison, Wis.; nieces, Kacey and Leilah Naifeh; nephews, Zeak, Brandon and Denny Naifeh; special friends, Steve Cook and Brent Katigan; four ex-wives residing in multiple states; and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010, at 10 a.m., at St. John’s Episcopal Church with Rev. James R. Blagg officiating.

The family requests memorials be made in Michael’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 500 N. Broadway, Suite 250, Oklahoma City, OK 73102, or the Ardmore AA.
