Services for William Harold Hobbs. 67, of Clemscott, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010, at Roberts Funeral home Chapel in Healdton, with Bro. Paul Underwood officiating, burial will follow at Waurika Cemetery, Waurika, Okla.
Harold was born March 1, 1943, in Waurika, Okla., to William Henry and Grace Mildred “Morrow” Hobbs. He departed this life on August 31, 2010, at his Clemscott residence.
Harold was raised and attended school in Waurika, graduating in 1961. He gained employment with Halliburton Oil Field Services of Healdton, retiring in 1998 with over three decades of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends but most of all just being with his grandkids. He was a member of the first Baptist Church in Waurika,
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, Lexy Knopp.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Hobbs, Elk City, Okla., and Bart Hobbs, Ft. Levenworth, Kan.; two daughters, Angelia Lemming, West Jefferson, Ohio, and Kim Chancellor, Healdton; one brother, Steve Hobbs, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Billie Barker, Weatherford, Texas, and Joann Wiley, Bourne, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary bearers will be all of Harold’s Halliburton co-workers.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
