Every member of the Barnes Vision Clinic staff has received paraoptometric certification, according to the American Optometric Association’s Commission on Paraoptometric Certification.
Dr. Rebecca Barnes and Dr. Elizabeth Cole have a staff of seven who earned certification.
“That just means that everyone has proven the level of required knowledge of optometric practice in areas of practice management, anatomy of the eye, eye exams, refractive status, ophthalmic prescription, ophthalmic lenses, ophthalmic dispensing, contact lenses, eye disorders and terminology,” said Traci Royse, office manager.
“From the front desk to the back office, every staff member is a qualified professional, able to answer patient’s questions and assist with their needs,” Royse said.
