“GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays” is scheduled for Nov. 15 at First Baptist Church.
Gene Thompson, FBC Minister of Education, described the afternoon seminar as “helpful” and “encouraging for people facing the holidays after a loved one’s death.” The seminar features practical suggestions and reassurances through video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays after the death of one of their loved ones.
Topics covered during seminar include:
• Why the holidays are tough
• What to expect
• How to prepare
• How to manage relationships
• Holidays to help you heal.
The seminar will be conducted from 4-5 p.m. in Room 1 C in the FBC Adult Annex.
Participants will receive a free book with more than 30 daily readings, designed to provide additional insights and ideas on holiday survival.
