A “Kidz Krusdae” with evangelists Robert and Jan Teel and “Friends” will be Sunday through Tuesday at River of Life Church with a revival Wednesday through Friday.
The Kidz Krusade starts at 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. The “ministering” revival will begin at 7 p.m.
Born in Ada, Robert was raised in southern California and was a national rings champion in gymnastics. However, at the height of his gymnastics career, he began to abuse drugs and alcohol. On the brink of suicide, he said he was “miraculously saved and instantly delivered from drugs and alcohol by the power of Jesus Christ.” Since then, Robert has been in full-time ministry for 33 years and an evangelist for 26 years.
Jan was born in Oklahoma City and calls herself a “PK” (preacher’s kid), who grew up “all over Oklahoma and some in Arkansas.” She is an accomplished musician and anointed singer, who “under the direction of the Holy Spirit,” writes puppet skits, children’s stories and songs.
“Friends” include Shadrack, the dog, who tells a Bible story each night. Bubba, Babble, Babbles, Moze and Molly Moppettes singing duets. Moody, the Memory Monkey, who assists children in memorizing Bible verses, and Mr. Ugly has what is described as a “unique gift you have to see to believe.”
