St. Philip’s Episcopal Church’s annual picnic is set for July 20 at Lake Ardmore Club House.
Described as an event filled with food, fellowship, fun and friends, everyone is encouraged to attend and bring “your favorite dish, your favorite beverage and your favorite friends.” The church will provide plates, napkins, cutlery, ice tea, ice for drinks and chilling beverages.
Activities begin at 6 p.m. and included socializing in the air conditioned eating area, as well as swimming and volley ball.
Directions for reaching the lake club house are: drive west on State Highway 142 passing under I-35, turn right on Lake Ardmore Road, drive north approximately 3 miles. The club house is the white building on the left after reaching Lake Ardmore Club.
St. Philip’s is collecting tuna in 6 1/8 ounce cans for Loaves and Fishes during July.
