First Baptist


A special GreifShare “Surviving the Holidays” seminar will be offered at First Baptist Church from 4-5:30 p.m. Sunday.


The seminar is designed to provide support for those who have lost loved ones and find the holidays painful. In addition to the information provided during the seminar, attendees will each receive a free booklet of special devotions. The seminar will be conducted in Room 1C in the FBC Adult Annex.

Northwest Baptist
The mission team at Northwest Baptist Church is seeking food and monetary donations in order to provide Thanksgiving baskets to those in need within the community. Deadline for donations is Thursday. Baskets will be prepared and delivered Nov. 21. Volunteers willing to help deliver the baskets should meet at the church at 10 a.m.


Sunday is the last day to purchase tickets for NWBC’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner set for Nov. 22 in the Fellowship Hall. The dinner will be at 12:15 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children age 5 and under will eat free. 


Opportunities for involvement at NWBC Sunday begin at 9:45 a.m. with Sunday School for all ages.


Worship, led by the Rev. Leonard Ezell, senior pastor, is at 11 a.m. and Children’s Church is slated to begin at 11 a.m.

A “Potato Drop” will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Colvert Ministry Center parking lot at First United Methodist Church.


Area churches can receive 25 50 pound bags of potatoes to use in outreach missions. The “Potato Drop” is a Society of St. Andrew project.

St. Mary
Men of St. Mary will sponsor a “Pancake Breakfast” from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the Parish Hall.


Silent auction items will go on display this weekend and can be viewed during the “Pancake Breakfast.” Items for the auction have been donated in memory of Pauline Phillips and will also be on display at the Women of St. Mary Covered Dish Luncheon Nov. 29. Items will go the the highest bidder Dec. 5-6. Proceeds are earmarked for the St. Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, Catholic Church Building and Renovation Fund.


Vocalists and musicians interested in  participating in the liturgy on Christ the King Sunday and Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve are invited to join the St. Mary Choir.  No auditions are required. Rehearsals are limited. Rehearsals will be in the choir loft at 9 a.m. on Sundays from Nov. 15 through Dec. 20.


Mass on Sunday is celebrated at 10:55 a.m.


Faith Formation classes for youth and adults begin at 9 a.m. Parents and children enrolled in First Reconciliation class should meet at 8:55 a.m. in the second-grade classroom.


St. Mary Youth will meet on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.


An art exhibit, featuring the work of German artist Werner Ritter, continues in the Pastoral Center, 7501 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
