Provence Assembly of God Church will operate a fireworks stand now until July 4th with all proceeds earmarked for missions support.
PAG Pastors Mike and Rosie Southerland feel missions are a very important part of their ministry and the church congregation works to raise money for a variety of missions and projects.
According to Cindy Harmon, “Speed the Light” is a youth initiated mission with a goal of raising money to provide transportation, radio, television and print materials used to spread the gospel in 180 countries. Another mission the church supports is the Ron Rhoads Soccer Salvation Camps.
“At these camps children are taught about soccer and the Lord,” Harmon said. “All of the children receive Bibles and soccer balls to keep.”
PAG’s fireworks stand is located near Exit 24 on Interstate 35. Harmon said the stand, a big yellow and white tent, can be found near the “Black Cat” building. The congregation invites the public to shop at the stand and help support the fund raiser for missions.
