It’s hard to believe it has been 25 years since Mariah Carey arrived on the music scene.Her self-titled debut album, “Mariah Carey,” was released in June 1990 and served as the launching pad for the decade’s biggest artist. The industry was saturated with top-selling female artists during the onset of the ’90s. Pop stars like Madonna, Whitney Houston, Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson were already commanding the spotlight when Mariah came to the party.
