Lone Grove struggled through a tough 1-9 season in 2007, but Longhorn players, coaches and fans believe tonight will be the start of a new era in football.

The Sulphur Bulldogs scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead and held off the Ardmore Tigers for a 3-2 victory Thursday.

The Plainview Indians, who advanced all the way to the Class 3A semifinals last year, will begin their quest for what is hopefully another successful season when they host the Elgin Owls tonight at Indian Field.

In their season opener against Chattanooga, both the Oklahoma offense and defense excelled, but Ardmore native and OU tight end Jermaine Gresham struggled to find the end zone.
