Plainview’s path to a second consecutive appearance in the Class 4A girls state basketball tournament will go through Ada.
The Lady Indians as well as Plainview’s boys team will go to Ada for the Area 4 District 4A-5 Tournament and to the regional tournament should they advance out of district play, then to Checotah for the Sub-Site round of games and back to Ada for the Area Tournament, which will be held at East Central University.
The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association on Thursday released the district assignments for Classes 4A, 3A and 2A.
Also in 4A, Lake Country Conference foes Lone Grove and Sulphur will square off in the Area 1 District 7 Tournament at Sulphur High School. The winner advances to the regional tournament at Anadarko. The sub-site is Heritage Hall High School. Southwestern Oklahoma State University will serve as host for the Area Tournament.
Madill travels to Broken Bow for the Area 4 District 1 Tournament. The winner advances to the regional in Bethel. Muldrow is the sub-site.
In Class 3A, Kingston hosts Davis in the Area 4 District 6 Tournament, while Dickson is at Marlow for the Area 4 District 8 Tournament. Kingston will serve as the site for the regional tournament. Dickson hosts the sub-site tournament. The Area Tournament is at Ada High School.
Marietta travels to Lindsay for the Area 4 District 2 Tournament. The winner advances to Purcell for a regional. The sub-site is Washington.
In Class 2A, Healdton along with Wynnewood are at Latta for the Area 3 District 5 Tournament. The Area Tournament is at Chickasha.
Wilson and Colbert will travel to Caddo for the Area 4 District 1 Tournament. Tishomingo and Savanna are at Talihina for the District 6 Tournament. Wilburton will host the Area Tournament.
