The Shawnee girls' and boys' swim teams competed at regionals in Jenks over the weekend. The girls came up with a second place finish as a team and the boys took sixth out of nine teams.
The Lady Wolves kept up with their strong relay performances with a first place finish in the 200 medley and a second place finish in the 200 free. Brenna Grein, Peyton Wilson, Kylie Catton and Bridgette Longest finished the medley in 2:00.31 and Dottie Lee replaced Grein in the freestyle race to finish in 1:47.02.
In the individual races, Catton also finished second in the 200 freestyle (2:04.50) and took third in the 500 free with a time of 5:43.92. Longest took third in the 50 free in a time of 26.72 seconds and Leticia Cervantes took third in the 200 individual medley with a 2:04.50 finish.
In the boys events, Dustin Ortiz, Hunter Rader, Will Gibson and Brodie Morris took fourth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:58.58.
Tecumseh's Hunter Etchieson finished first place in the 100 free (51.64) and 50 free (23.21) events.
