LONE GROVE — While nothing is ever certain during the course of a season, one thing has been so far for the No. 18 Sulphur Lady Bulldogs.

A victory when playing Class 3A opposition.

Tuesday night the Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-0 this season against Class 3A teams, as they defeated the Lone Grove Lady Horns 52-39 at the Gary Scott Sports Center.

Sulphur led 13-8 after the first quarter, before adding 15 more points before halftime to lead 28-19 at the break.

Lone Grove was held to just nine points in the third quarter, as Sulphur increased its advantage to 40-28, before finishing the game off with a 12-11 run in the fourth quarter

Payton Row led the Lady Bulldogs (9-2) with 18 points followed by Abby Beck with nine points, and Makella Mobly with eight points.

Lone Grove (7-5) was paced by Shelby Stevenson with 10 points, with Madison Anderson scoring nine, and Taleigh Nail adding eight points. 

The Lady Horns will travel to Dickson Friday night, while Sulphur will play host to No. 4 Comanche.
