Deer Creek’s Alex Christensen rushed for 170 yards on 35 carries and three Ardmore fumbles led to 10 points for the Antlers in a 19-12 win Friday at Noble Stadium.
Ardmore led 6-0 early on a 27-yard touchdown run by Trey Cohee, but the Tigers (6-5) fumbled three times in their next three possessions of the first half, losing two. One fumble was returned 75 yards for a touchdown by Shawn McLaws in the second quarter and another set up McLaws for a 27-yard field goal before halftime to give the Antlers a 10-6 lead.
Trailing 19-12, Ardmore drove to the Deer Creek 21 with less than 6 minutes to go, but lost another fumble. The Antlers (8-3) then put the ball in the hands of Christensen, who rumbled for three first downs to ice the game.
Andra Brown had a 6-yard TD run on the Tigers’ first possession after halftime to give Ardmore its final lead at 12-10. He finished with 81 yards on 22 carries.
Josiah Reed led the Tigers in receiving with three catches for 50 yards. Cohee was 6-of-9 for 84 yards through the air.
Deer Creek will play Booker T. Washington in next week’s Class 5A quarterfinals.
Plainview 28, Blanchard 24
The Plainview defense came up with two crucial goal-line stands late in the fourth quarter, including one with 40 seconds remaining to pull out a 28-24 win over Blanchard to advance to a second-round showdown with Bethany.
Blake Campo rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns and caught a 72-yard touchdown pass from Chad Smith for the go-ahead score with 11:49 left in the game.
Smith completed 8-of-12 passes for 215 yards and two touchdowns, with Kory Kennedy catching a 44-yard TD pass in the first quarter.
Anadarko 41, Lone Grove 0
ANADARKO — Class 3A’s No. 3-ranked Anadarko had no trouble with beating Lone Grove for a second time this season.
Anadarko led 13-0 at the end of the first quarter and 35-0 at halftime.
“We played better and did some things that were improved,” Lone Grove coach Kenny Ridley said. “We made errors that they exploited and we knew we had to play nearly perfect and we didn’t.”
Lone Grove finished the season 5-6. Anadarko, unbeaten at 11-0, will host Newcastle next week.
Mangum 42, Healdton 20
MANGUM — Five turnovers proved to be too much for the Healdton Bulldogs to overcome on Friday night as they lost to Mangum 42-20 in the first round of the state playoffs.
Quarterback J.J. Montaie had 10 carries for 175 yards, with touchdown runs of 65 and 53 yards. The second score tied the game at 13-13 in the third quarter.

Fox 66, Pond Creek-Hunter 44
FOX — Chris Spigner scored five rushing touchdowns, while Justin Cornelius had a standout defensive effort for the Fox Foxes in a 66-44 win on Friday night.
The Foxes jumped out to a 38-22 lead at the break and gained some breathing room as they took a 54-28 lead into the fourth quarter.
“It was a great game for us,” Fox coach Brent Phelps said. “Our defense didn’t play great, but they have some good offensive players that made some things happen.”
Fox (9-2) plays at No. 1 Dewar (11-0) next week.
Ringling 32, Apache 22
RINGLING — L.T. Pemberton rushed for 194 yards on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns as the Blue Devils jumped out to a 32-0 lead and held on for a 32-22 win on Friday night.
The Blue Devils racked up 341 rushing yards, while Tyler Shores completed 5-of-13 passes for 124 yards. Ringling led 18-0 at halftime and took a 25-0 lead into the fourth quarter.
Ringling (8-2) will face No. 2 Cashion (10-1) next week.
Lindsay 55, Kingston 18
LINDSAY — Kingston return to the playoffs was short-lived, as the Redskins lost to District 2A-3’s top seed Lindsay.
Dakoata Gorrell ran back a kickoff for a touchdown in the second quarter and Jared Hayes and Chance Teeter each had second-half rushing touchdowns for Kingston (3-8). This season, the Redskins ended a 27-game losing streak and won more games than the last two seasons combined.
“I was proud of our effort throughout the year and tonight,” Kingston coach Greg Mitchell said. “We were just glad to be playing week 11.”
