Several Ardmore players were honored on the All-District 5A-2 football team, including individual winners Randy Stinson and Andra Brown.

Stinson was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year in the district while Brown was named Running Back of the Year. The seniors led Ardmore to a 6-4 regular-season record and a spot in the Class 5A state playoffs.

Five other Ardmore seniors earned All-District status: Trey Cohee (quarterback), Levonte Douglas (defensive back), Kaleb Hurley (offensive line), Darail Taulton (defensive end) and Reggie Thompson (wide receiver).

District A-4

Shores leads Ringling winners
Ringling quarterback Tyler Shores was among five Blue Devils who were selected for individual awards in District A-4.

Shores was named Offensive Player of the Year in the league and was joined by L.T. Pemberton (Running Back of the Year), Aaron Lyle (Offensive Lineman of the Year), Grady Black (Tight End of the Year) and Jon Tucker, the Special Teams Player of the Year.

Healdton’s J.J. Montaie was named District A-4’s top quarterback, while teammates Chance Roberts and Garrett Jenkins won defensive awards as Defensive Lineman of the Year and Defensive Back of the Year, respectively.

Healdton and Ringling each placed three players on the All-District First Team while Wilson’s Michael Moody was the Eagles’ lone first-team member.

District B-2

Two Foxes take major awards
B-2 champion Davenport and Fox dominated the All-District teams, with Fox underclassmen claiming both the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards.

Fox juniors Chris Spigner and Justin Cornelius were the top player on offensive and defense, respectively, while fellow junior Dillon Langley was the Defensive Utility Player of the year. Fox was district runner-up to Davenport and advanced to the Class B quarterfinals.

Senior offensive lineman Kyle Teafatiller was selected to play in the 8-Man All-Star Game in Miami, Okla., in July. Fellow senior Jericho Whatley was picked as an offensive line alternate.
