The Plainview boys jumped to a 21-2 lead six minutes into the game and hit just enough free throws in the closing seconds to hang on for a 69-65 victory over the Riverside Braves Friday at the Plainview Activity Center. It was a huge win for the Indians, who entered the game with a 1-5 record. The Braves, ranked No. 8 in Class 3A, had a 6-1 mark prior to Friday’s contest.
