The epitome of Christmas spirit is apparently only a rod and reel away.
Professional angler Edwin Evers has teamed up with local charity “Standing in the Gap” to provide need-based individuals with groceries on an ongoing basis. The Mannsville resident and nine-time Bassmasters Classic qualifier is raffling off an opportunity to spend a day with him fishing on a private lake near Ardmore.
Included in the raffle package is more than $700 worth of hand-picked tackle from Evers, two premium rod and reel combos and one of Evers’ autographed tournament jerseys. All of the money from the winning bid will go to “Standing in the Gap.”
