William Slones stood at the free throw line with two chances to give Southeastern Oklahoma State the edge over East Central in overtime.
He made good on both of them, and Southeastern swept the weeklong regular season series with a 63-61 victory Saturday night. The win is the fourth in a row for the Savage Storm (9-13, 4-3 Lone Star Conference-North).
Slones scored 17 points and had 15 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the year. He also blocked four shots.
Bobby McAdoo of Kingston and Jarrett Brandon of Ardmore scored four and two points, respectively in starting roles for ECU (6-15, 1-6).
The game was tied at 56 at the end of regulation after Wayne Andrews of ECU scored five straight points. ECU opened overtime with a 3-point basket before Southeastern scored five unanswered to lead 61-59 with 59 seconds remaining.
Andrews led the Tigers with 24 points. Eric Allen contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Southeastern won 59-56 Wednesday in Durant.
