The No. 3 Madill Wildcats continued their quest for a perfect season with ease, clinching their first district title since 1990 in a 37-6 win over Marlow on Friday.
Senior running back Darryl Fields ran 15 times for 200 yards and three scores and caught two passes for 60 yards and two more touchdowns to lead the Wildcats.
Junior Spencer Bond was 12-for-22 with 219 yards and two passing TDs and senior receiver Kevin Roberts caught six balls for 53 yards.
Madill is 9-0, 6-0 in District 3A-2.
Ringling 55 Bray-Doyle 12
BRAY — The No. 2 Blue Devils clinched the District A-4 championship with a 55-12 thrashing of the Donkeys.
The Blue Devils (8-0, 8-0) limited the Donkeys (0-9, 0-8) to just 134 total net yards.
Skylar Bartlett scored on runs of 4, 54 and 52 yards to give Ringling a 21-0 lead after the first quarter, and Holden Lambert scored on touchdown runs of 2 and 21 yards in the second. Quarterback Tyler Shores hit Andrew Stoker with a 72-yard scoring toss and hooked up with Matthew Farris for a touchdown pass that covered 29 yards to up the Blue Devil lead to 49-6 at halftime.
Davis 42 Kingston 0
KINGSTON — The No. 1-ranked Davis Wolves wasted no time against the Redskins on Friday, scoring 28 points in the first quarter.
Fourteen players logged carries for the Wolves (9-0, 6-0 District 2A-4), led by Grant Hetherington’s 85 yards on two totes.
Jerico Rogers, Zac Maynard, Hetherington and Chris Campbell each scored on first-quarter runs for Davis. Logan Webb added a 1-yard run in the second quarter and Kolton Tolbert scored from four yards out in the third.
Kingston dropped to 0-9, 0-6 in district.
Tishomingo 35 Marietta 10
TISHOMINGO — The home team won the battle of the Indians on Friday night, as Tishomingo was victorious for the second time in its last three games.
Marietta fell to 2-7, 1-5 in District 2A-4, while Tishomingo is 2-7 and 2-4.
Healdton 21 EC-Pernell 20
ELMORE CITY — Healdton quarterback J.J. Montaie scored on a 13-yard touchdown run with 1:03 left in the game as the Bulldogs fought from two touchdowns behind to overtake and defeat the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers.
The win sets up a critical game for second place in District A-4 this Friday, when the Bulldogs play Velma-Alma on the road.
Healdton improved to 8-1, 7-1 in district play. Elmore City-Pernell fell to 5-4 and 4-4.
Montaie scored all three Bulldog touchdowns and finished the game with 20 carries for 107 yards. The 13-yard scamper late in the fourth knotted the game, and Dustin Roper’s PAT kick gave Healdton the win.
Fox 48, Cyril 0
FOX — Quarterback Chris Spigner had 11 carries for 170 yards and three touchdowns.
He also threw for one touchdown as Fox rolled over Cyril in a game ended by mercy rule in the third quarter.
Seth Beaird had 113 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown and Dillon Langley had 11 carries for 82 yards for Fox.
Victory Life 33 Thackerville 14
THACKERVILLE —Without two key players, the Wildcats dropped their second consecutive district game and third straight overall.
Aaron Vondrak led Thackerville with 131 yards on 27 carries, and Mose added 64 yards on nine rushes. Filling in for injured quarterback Jonathon Buckaloo, Michael Goff completed 2-of-7 passes for six yards and an interception.
Thackerville (5-4, 5-2 District C-2) faces Tipton next Friday in a battle for second place in C-2.
Maysville 53 Wilson 0
WILSON — The Eagles (3-6, 4-5 District A-4), managed just 43 total net yards of offense in a loss to Maysville.
The Warriors (5-4, 5-3) scored on passing plays of 9, 19, 11 and 34 yards to open a 27-0 lead after the opening quarter. Rushing touchdowns of 1 and 2 yards and a 73-yard passing touchdown upped their advantage to 47-0 at the break.
