Not a month after winning another state Class 3A championship, Tess Lackey and her Plainview High running mates were back on the course as Plainview Track Club athletes.
Lackey finished eighth in the girls 5K race to lead the PTC runners in the Oklahoma/Arkansas Invitational Meet on Saturday. Lackey, who was fourth in the Oct. 24 state meet, finished in 19 minutes, 53 seconds.
Alex Davis and Kaitlin Moore were 22nd and 24th, respectively, finishing two seconds apart. Davis’ time was 20:29.
Also for the PTC girls, Rebekah Hickman was 39th in 21:34, Amber Harper 44th in 21:51, Makayla Miller 45th in 22:02 and Spencer Jordan 46th in 22:04.
The girls ran for team Oklahoma, which lost the dual challenge to Arkansas, 60-131.
Andrew Leahey, the 3A boys runner-up, was 35th in his 5K race with a time of 17:22. Ryan Hicks was 65th in 18:49.
Oklahoma won the boys team challenge, 85-90.
