The Ardmore baseball team had its postseason banquet Tuesday night to honor the accomplishments of the 2008 season.
The event took place at Christ Community Church.
All the seniors — Stanton St. Clair, Keith Todd, Daniel Whittlesey, Micah Quary, Garrett Langwell, Ben Love, Trevor McPherson, Anthony Reed and Charlie Crosby were awarded plaques that consisted of team and individual pictures, along with DVDs of pictures and buckets of candy.
Several awards were given out by coach Zack Birth.
Jared Johnson received the Rookie of the Year award.
Quary got Most Improved Player of the Year, based on his performance of making big hits after sitting out last year due to a back operation.
Josiah Custar received the Hustle Award. Birth also told of a moment when Custar clapped his hands after striking out a key opposing batter at Durant.
Langwell received the Commitment Award, Shawn Smith got Slugger of the Year, Reed Downing was the Pitcher of the Year and Brayden Brumley got Defensive Player of the Year, Whittlesey and Todd were honored as Co-Offensive Players of the Year, and St. Clair received the Most Valuable Player of the Year Award.
