The streak continued for Shattuck on Friday.

Shattuck (11-0), the six-time defending Class C champion, extended its record winning streak in eight-man football to 93 games with a win over Thackerville.

The game was a rematch of last season’s state championship. This time it wasn’t as high-scoring as last year’s 68-44 game, but it produced the same result.

With 21 seconds to go in the first quarter, Mitch Henson hauled in an 11-yard pass from Aaron McCandless for the first points. Brent Starbuck added touchdown runs for 6 and 21 yards in the second and third quarters, respectively, to push Shattuck to an 18-0 lead.

The Indians led Thackerville 12-0 at halftime. The Wildcats went down 26-0 in the third after two interceptions on their first two possessions and a Connor Babcock 1-yard TD run. The Indians picked up 309 yards on the ground.

Aaron Vondrak ran in a 3-yard score late in the third quarter for Thackerville’s only touchdown.
Thackerville finished 5-6. Individual statistics were not available.
