There was little movement at the top in The Associated Press’ Oklahoma high school football poll, but the Ardmore Tigers moved up two spots into the Class 5A Top 10.

The Tigers (1-0) picked up a 28-7 win over Ada on Friday and were rewarded with the No. 9 ranking heading into this week’s showdown with No. 3-ranked Carl Albert. The Titans (0-1) are coming off a narrow defeat, falling to No. 1-ranked Booker T. Washington last week, 12-10. Carl Albert dropped from No. 1 , while B.T. Washington moved up to the top spot. Guthrie moved into the No. 2 spot following the Blue Jays’ impressive 25-0 win over then No. 5-ranked Duncan. Duncan slipped to No. 8. Deer Creek moved up three spots to No. 7, while Bishop Kelley went from sixth to 10th after losing to Class 6A’s 10th-ranked Enid, 24-7.

Ardmore takes on McAlester in Week 3, who moved up one spot to No. 5, where they are tied with Ardmore’s Week 4 opponent, Lawton MacArthur. McAlester is coming off a 48-21 win over Durant, and travels to Ada this week. Lawton Mac beat Wichita Falls, Texas, 48-17 in its opener.

Madill received six votes to move up to No. 15 in Class 3A, while Davis remains at No. 3 in the Class 2A poll.

Davis recieved 65 votes but remains 21 points behind Millwood and 17 points behind Lincoln Christian. Millwood opened with a 42-0 win over Star Spencer, the reigning Class 4A state champion, who dropped down a class this year. Lincoln Christian topped Morris, 34-6.

Davis shutout Ringling last Friday night 39-0. Davis’ week 3 opponent, Heritage Hall, moved up three spots to No. 3 in the Class 3A, picking up one first-place vote in the process.

Ringling slipped three spots to No. 6 in the Class A poll.

The Blue Devils host Waurika this week.
