AHS freshmen rout Colbert

Akari Tucker netted 10 points, and Shannon Johnson and Corey Green each scored nine as Ardmore’s freshmen dominated the first half to beat Colbert 44-31 Friday.


The Tigers leapt out to a 15-2 lead in the second quarter and didn’t allow double figures until the third quarter. Ardmore led 29-6 at halftime.


Dion Stanley added seven points and Cassius Williams six for the Tigers. Dion Johnson rounded out the scoring with three.

Plainview 37 Tishomingo 28

The Plainview freshmen outscored Tishomingo 13-0 in the third quarter en route to a nine-point win Tuesday.
Tish turned the tables with a 16-0 run in the fourth, but Plainview had a 37-12 lead entering the final period.
Tierani Richardson led Plainview with 17 points and Taryn Callender chipped in with 11.

Pauls Valley 32 Plainview 31
Leading by five after three quarters, Plainview (1-1) was outscored 14-8 in the fourth, dropping its first game of the season Thursday.
Tierani Richardson had her second straight 17-point game, Taryn Callender added 12 and Shannon Wilson scored two points in the loss.

Eighth grade
Tishomingo 28 Plainview 19

A 10-5 second-quarter run gave Tishomingo all it needed to top Plainview’s eighth grade on Tuesday.
Tish’s second quarter was the only double-digit period by both clubs.
Torey Weder scored eight points to lead Plainview and Domanique McCarroll added four.

Pauls Valley 30 Plainview 18
Diana Healey (four points) led a balanced scoring effort for Plainview (1-1), as seven players had two points or more on Thursday.
Pauls Valley used an 8-1 second quarter to lead 15-6 at halftime, then scored 11 in the third to pull away.
