Ardmore didn’t miss this opportunity to make the playoffs.

Andra Brown ran for 177 of his season-high 216 yards in the second half and scored the go-ahead touchdown with 3:35 left to give Ardmore a 30-24 come-from-behind victory over Durant on Friday at Noble Stadium. Ardmore finished 4-6 overall and 4-3 in District 5A-2, good for fourth place and a first-round game next week at El Reno.

El Reno beat Duncan 14-7 to win the 5A-1 championship.

Durant, which led 24-14 going into the fourth quarter, finished 4-6 and 3-4.

Davis 37, Plainview 14
On Friday, the Davis Wolves showed why they’re one of the front runners for the 2A state championship.

The No. 1-ranked Wolves finished 10-0 in the regular season for the second time in four seasons with a win over Plainview. The victory capped the district title for Davis.

Davis (10-0, 7-0) dominated the first half, scoring the first 17 points of the game on 2- and 1-yard TD runs by Jerico Rogers and a Jacy Allen field goal. But a 105-yard interception return TD by Plainview’s Lane Sprouse on a fake field goal attempt by Davis gave the Indians life right before halftime.

In the third, the Indians cut the lead to 17-14, but a 97-yard kickoff return TD by Matt Burba in the third closed the door on Plainview’s district-title hopes.

Davis will meet Hobart in the first round, while Plainview (8-2, 6-1) will host Washington next Friday.

Madill 38, Dickson 14
DICKSON — The Wildcats had to sweat for a while, but completed the undefeated season.

The Dickson defense held Madill’s Darryl Fields to 54 yards on 15 carries, and even led for stretches in the first half, but Madill scored 29 unanswered points for the victory.

Dickson (4-6, 2-5 District 3A-2) held Madill to 110 rushing yards. Madill led 17-14 at the break.

Kevin Roberts led the second-half surge for Madill. He threw for a touchdown on a bad field goal snap, caught a two-point conversion, and scored on a strip and fumble return from 25 yards out. Stacy Marris also added two scores for the Wildcats.

Luke Betterton had 130 yards on 24 carries and a rushing touchdown, and Andrew Pereira caught a touchdown pass from James Byford for the Comets.

Madill (10-0, 7-0), ranked third in 3A, will host Blanchard in the first round of the playoffs.

Lone Grove 21, Marlow 14
LONE GROVE — The Longhorns handled their business. So did Madill. But a Pauls Valley victory over Bethany kept Lone Grove out of the playoffs.

Lone Grove 21, Marlow 14
LONE GROVE — The Longhorns handled their business. So did Madill. But a Pauls Valley victory over Bethany kept Lone Grove out of the playoffs.

With the score knotted at 14-14, Calvin Helmers entered at quarterback when starter Jacob McClenahan went down with a knee injury in the third quarter. The junior kept the Longhorns going, and Dalton Keeton scored late in the fourth quarter on a 2-yard run for the winning points.

A win for Lone Grove, and wins by Madill over Dickson and Bethany over Pauls Valley would have secured the Longhorns the fourth playoff spot from District 3A-2. But Bethany, without starting quarterback Silas Day — who quit the team for unspecified reasons earlier in the week — lost 19-14 to Pauls Valley.

Lone Grove finished the season 5-5, 3-4 in district.

Ringling 54, Wilson 6
RINGLING — The No. 2 Blue Devils gave up one first down en route to their third straight undefeated regular season.

Ringling (9-0, 9-0 District A-4) went up 41-0 in the first quarter. Skylar Bartlett led Ringling with 102 yards rushing on six carries, scoring three touchdowns.

Wilson scored its lone touchdown on a Cody Morse 79-yard kickoff return in the third quarter. The Eagles finished the season 3-7, exceeding their combined win total from the past two seasons.

The Blue Devils will host Mangum in the first round.

Allen 14, Fox 6
FOX — The Foxes lost their playoff spot with a loss to Allen on Friday.

Dillon Langley scored on a short run in the first quarter to put Fox ahead 6-0, but the Foxes (7-3, 5-3 District B-2) allowed Allen to score twice in the third quarter.

Fox had to win and have Paoli beat Alex to secure a playoff berth, but Alex won 59-14 to knock the Foxes out of contention.

Velma-Alma 49, Healdton 21
VELMA — J.J. Montaie had 130 yards rushing and three touchdowns (two rushing, one passing) and Dustin Roper had more than 130 yards in the return game, but Healdton couldn’t topple Velma-Alma on the road.

The score was tied 13-13 at halftime, but the Velma-Alma running backs got loose in the second half. By the end of the third, Velma-Alma led 35-21.

Wide receiver Billy Benitez caught the Bulldogs’ lone touchdown in the air.

Healdton (8-2, 6-2 District A-4) will play at Carnegie in the first round of the playoffs next week. The Bulldogs qualified as the No. 3 team in A-4.

Sulphur 55, Kingston 0
KINGSTON — The Bulldogs rebounded from two consecutive losses to beat Kingston and secure third place in District 2A-4.

Sulphur (6-4, 5-2) will play at Lindsay in the first round of the playoffs. Kingston finished 0-10 for the second consecutive season.

No game statistics were available.

Atoka 42, Marietta 12
ATOKA — The pass-happy Wampus Cats locked up the fourth playoff spot out of District 2A-4 with a win over Marietta.

The Indians finished the season 2-7 and 1-6 in district. No statistics were available.

Tipton 30, Thackerville 8
TIPTON — The Wildcats were handed their fourth consecutive loss, but slid into the playoffs due to Temple’s 42-0 win over Corn Bible.

Thackerville (5-5, 5-3 District C-2) qualified for the postseason with a fourth-place finish in C-2.

The Wildcats now face a rematch of last season’s state championship in the first round of the playoffs. They’ll travel to play six-time defending champion Shattuck, owner of a 92-game winning streak.

Coalgate 40, Tishomingo 6
COALGATE — The Indians couldn’t stop the Coalgate spread on Friday.

Tishomingo finished the season 2-8 and 2-5 in District 2A-4, with wins in two of its final four games. No statistics were available.
