Candles, pillars, ferns and rose petals decorated Ardmore First Baptist Church for the June 13, 2009, wedding of Megan Nicole Knox and Travis Martin Shields. Jeremy Sanders performed the ceremony and nuptial music was provided by Rachel Cumer and Doug Hansen, Ardmore; and Bonita Coble, Ada.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Gary Knox and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Shields, all of Ardmore. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Knox, Port Orange, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. Bub Harvey, Ardmore; and Melba Shields, Joplin, Mo.
The bride wore a white satin strapless ball gown with beaded embroidery, beaded bodice and pickup skirt that extended to a cathedral-length train.
Honor attendants were Julie Burnett, Fullerton, Calif.; and Phillip Armstrong, Ardmore.
Other members of the wedding party were Brittney Allison and Kelsey Kuryk, Shawnee; Mika Woods, Sarah Shields, Cory Woods and Zachary Woods, Stillwater; Ross Chaffin, Oklahoma City; Clint Burns, Dallas; Lauren Rabon and Jacob Rabon, Norman; Joshua Buchanan and Jeremy Corley, Ada; Dura Gray, Mannsville; and Jennifer Turner, Ardmore.
They couple took a trip to Cozumel, Mexico. They live in Ardmore.
