Light-blue hydrangeas, hyperium and curly willow provided the setting for the June 14, 2008, wedding of Jennifer Elizabeth Pate and Jarrett Olen Higgs in the Ardmore First
United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jeremy Sanders performed the ceremony and nuptial music was presented by Lisa Riggle.
Parents of the couple are Nancy Pate, Ardmore; the late Herb James Pate II; and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Higgs, Ardmore. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Guy N. Beasley, Madill; Mr. and Mrs. James L. Pate, Addison, Texas; Betty Densmore, Caney; the late Robert Densmore; the late Theresa Higgs; and the late Dale Higgs.
The bride wore a formal gown of ivory chantilly lace featuring an open neckline on the fitted bodice with satin straps and a satin sash accenting the waist. The full, A-line tulle skirt fell to slipper length and extended to a chapel train.
Honor attendants were Keely Pryor, Moore, and Avery Sullivan, Ardmore, sisters of the bride; the groom’s father; and Clay Smith, Ringling.
Other members of the wedding party were Jessica Gallardo, New York; Morgan Higgs, sister of the groom; Lindsey Dyer, Emily Byrd, Amy Byrd and Joanna Rus, all of Norman; Haley Holden, Edmond; Cana Vandiver, North Carolina; Scott Fincher and Steve Fincher, Caney, brothers of the groom; Wesley Galyean, Ardmore; Bryant Pate, brother of the bride, Casey Norrell, Corey Cox, Neil Brown and Greg Hicks, all of Ardmore; Olivia Grace Hodge, Hot Springs, Ark.; and Payton Gage Higgs, Tishomingo.
The couple took a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They live in Ardmore.
