Heather Janelle Utt Huey, age 40, passed away at her home in Ardmore, Monday, February 20, 2012. Services will be held at graveside at 2 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2012, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, with Ken Keith officiating. Services are under the direction of Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Heather was born on April 29, 1971, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Otto “Rick” Utt and Linda (Barton) Utt.
She married Craig Huey on June 20, 1997, in Lone Grove, Oklahoma.
She attended and graduated from Ardmore High School in 1989. She married Scott Minyard and had two children, Trey and Misti Minyard in 1990 and 1991. Her first marriage came to a close and Heather was blessed with a kind, Christian, loving husband in Craig Huey. They had 14 wonderful years together until her Lord Jesus quite unexpectedly sent his angels to take her home to be with Him. Our hearts are grieving for our loss, but rejoicing with her that she is enjoying her heavenly reward.
Heather was preceded in death by her sister, Elonna Utt; and her dear uncle, “Tippy” Tipton Utt and uncle, “Bobo” Milton Utt; maternal grandparents, Clayton and Frances Barton; and paternal grandfather, Otto Utt Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Craig of the home; her daughter, Misti Minyard; son, Trey Minyard and his wife, Skylar; and new grandson, Payton Levi; her parents, Otto and Linda Utt; paternal grandmother, Delia Utt; brother, Joshua Utt and wife, Liz and their children, Zeke and Ivy; uncles, Kenneth Barton and wife, Cindy, Gabe Gabriel and Bill Barton and wife, Nettie; aunt, Alice Taylor and husband, Harvey; and cousins, Cheryl and Jeff Barton, Jessica Taylor, Tammy Ezell, David Ezell and Danny Ezell Jr. Heather’s special “baby girl” is her Chihuahua, Petrie.
