Services for Billie Darlene Harris will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Chaplain Stanley Joseph officiating. Interment will be at Provence Cemetery.
Darlene was born February 13, 1933, at Ardmore, to Billie and Maxine Mathews Hensley. She passed from this life on February 19, 2012, in her home at the age of 79.
She and Curtis Harris were married on December 31, 1949, in Ardmore. Darlene was a lifelong resident of this area. She retired from Southwestern Bell after 30 years of service. She enjoyed bingo, reading, fishing, computer games, the sci-fi channel and loved spending time with her grandkids.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Maxine; son, Curtis Ray Harris Jr.; and sister, Beverly Hensley.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis of the home; daughters, Cindie Wooten of Ardmore, and Suzie Schwitters and her husband, Brian of Anna, Texas; brother, Raymond Hensley and wife, Lois of Alabama; six grandchildren, Ami Lowe and husband, Travis, Ryan Wooten and wife, Lacy, Shane Pruitt, Jeron Pruitt, Cory Harris and wife, Becka, and Amber Pickens and husband, Andrea; and 14 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Wooten, Shane Pruitt, Jeron Pruitt, Brian Schwitters, Travis Lowe and Cory Harris.
