Husband merely a bystander as wife goes off the rails

DEAR ABBY: I have been married for close to a year, and in this short time I’ve seen a side of my wife I’ve never seen before. Although I met her during a period of sobriety, she drinks now. The problem is what she does when she drinks. On one occasion, she was supposed to go to the market and return on foot. Instead I found her in a car with a stranger, drinking and high. She claimed it was too cold to walk and she was just trying to keep warm.

“It still feels surreal, like it didn’t happen…” This is how Nancy Sjulin describes her recent pickleball triumph in which she saw herself take the long way to the gold medal. Nancy lost her second round and had to play her through the loser’s bracket - the long way - before seeing off the very same person she lost to in that second round in the final. Nancy Sjulin, who is also an Ardmore City Commissioner, was first introduced to pickle ball about three years ago through the Corporate Fitness Challenge which happens annually in May.
