DEAR ABBY: I read the letter from the woman who is feeling alone at 66 and pondering the purpose of life (“Living Life in Texas,” July 25). Assuming she’s in good health, she’s a spring chicken compared to a 90-year-old. UNT’s jazz phenomes, The One O’clock Lab Band, at the Goddard Center

Ardmore High School Leaflet Study Club members joined staff members from Ardmore Animal Care this past week for an informational evening event at the shelter. The girls learned about the current objectives of the shelter, especially its active participation in the rescue transport program which sends animals directly to waiting homes in northern states.
