OSU Extension offers tips to cut cost of Thanksgiving meal

STILLWATER – Getting roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole and pie on the table this Thanksgiving is going to cost consumers more than it did in 2021. Rodney Holcomb, Oklahoma State University Extension food economics specialist, said consumers can expect to pay 35%45% more for their turkey this year, which typically is the centerpiece of most Thanksgiving tables.

Changing of the seasons

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas as workers from the City of Ardmore decorate light posts in the Depot District with lights and wreaths. The downtown holiday cheer will really kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 29 with the 15th Annual Parade of Lights.
