One year ago, Murray State College kicked off a campaign to raise funds to build the Southern Oklahoma Nursing Education Center (SONEC) in Ardmore. On Thursday, the college announced the majority of the funds are now in place and construction will be beginning next month.

After 33 years of dreaming and a long 10 months of recovering from damage caused by destructive storms last spring, the projects will finally begin, thanks to a generous donation from Valero.
