5 things to do this weekend

Enjoy fresh vegetables, fruits and other goods that can be found at the Ardmore Farmer’s Market. The market opens for the summer at 7:30 a.m., Saturday at the Marketplace on Broadway, which is located at 106 E. Broadway in Ardmore.

Enjoy a magical evening at The Station Bar & Grill this weekend. Jonathan Meyer will bring illusions, laughter, memorable tricks and a fun time for all to Ardmore at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Enjoy food, drinks and just as importantly, no cover. The Station is located at 24 Mill Street SE.

Matt Jewett and Gabriel Knight Hancock will take their turn in the Listening Room of Marvin’s Art Place this weekend. Enjoy a free evening of music along with cold adult refreshments and snacks available for purchase. There is also some pretty nifty art to enjoy. The gallery is located at 103 West Main Street in Ardmore.

School is ending but the learning never stops. Celebrate World Turtle Day at Lake Murray State Park. The event will be at Tucker Tower Nature Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. See the park’s Turtle Ambassadors Honey and Scout, learn about turtles and enjoy a craft. The tower is located at 1587 Tucker Tower Road.

If you are going out to Lake Murray for Memorial Day, enjoy an opportunity to bird watch with some new friends. Folks will gather at Pecan Grove from 9 to 10 a.m. to see some birds and hear their songs. Pecan Grove is a picnic area on the north side of the lake.
