Funeral services for Ronald Leroy “Ron” Kinney, Sr., 77, will be held Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Kirby officiating. Interment will be in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.

The son of the late Gerald Leroy Kinney and Dorothy Jean Somerwill Sheley, Ron was born December 24, 1944 in Corvallis, Oregon, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2022.

Ron served our country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Following his service, he married Gloria Ann Adams, on November 11, 1969 in Maryland. She preceded him in death August 8, 2021. He had worked as a computer programmer for Motorola. Ron loved computers, playing his X-Box and gardening. Ron was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his daughter Crystal Ayers and her husband Richard, son Ronald Kinney, Jr., grandchildren, Samantha Ayers, Richard Ayers, III; and Bailey Kinney; sisters Laurie Linn and Jery Taylor; brothers, Roger Sheley, Bill Kinney, Garry and Jerry Kinney; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Bobby Kinney.
