Barbara Ann Osteen

Barbara was born on Tuff Street in Vian Oklahoma on March 15th, 1940, and passed away on July 26th at her home in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Her family moved to Wasco, California when she was very young. She grew up there where she met the love of her life, Ed Osteen, (although she didn’t know that he was at that time) when she was 12 years old. They were married on May 1, 1959. She and Ed moved to Oklahoma in 1980 and lived their dreams of raising horses and cattle on their ranch. They were married over 63 years.

Barbara’s life was her family, and she was a positive influence on them as well as everyone else who met her. She held a weekly bible study in her home for high school girls for years and had an impact on many lives.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Mayme Menees and is survived by her husband, Ed, her children Mark and his wife Toby, daughter Dana and husband Richard, as well as her grandchildren, Tyler, Katie, Trent, Matt and Kaleb. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren that she deeply cherished.

Her passing leaves with a huge hole in her family and friends lives but her life will serve to remind us of what the influence of a humble servant of Christ can do to life people up.

No services will be held but we will all cherish her memory as long as we live.
