Jean Shirley Famiano Toothman

Jean Shirley Famiano Toothman, born in Schenectady, NY on September 2, 1931, passed away at her home in Ardmore, OK on November 12, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Famiano; her brothers Tony, Frank, and Carl, Jr.; her sisters, Mary and Helen; her husband; David Toothman, Sr.; her son David Toothman, Jr; and many extended family members and beloved friends. She is survived by her daughter, Martha Collings, and her husband Kenny; her granddaughter, Kendall Jordan, and her husband Joe; her grandson, Jon Collings, and his wife, Lauren; her great-granddaughter, Kennedy Catherine Jordan; one sister, Ann Garree, nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Affectionately known as JT, “Secretary,” Moppa, Mother, or Mrs. Toothman, Jean was a beautiful and amazing woman, a power house of endless energy and talents that defied her petite stature. She set the bar high in all facets of her life and met challenges with an indomitable spirit of creativity and resourcefulness. Every aspect of her home, was a testament to her skills as an accomplished cook and hostess, a gifted homemaker of unique style and good taste, and a master gardener. She was a devoted longtime member of the Church of Christ and a worthy servant of God. Professionally, she enjoyed 45 years as executive secretary for Holden Energy where she was recognized and highly respected for her exceptional mental acuity and work ethic. Her family and all others who knew her mourn her loss, but take comfort and rejoice in her legacy of undying, selfless devotion and love for them. Visitation is available at Craddock Funeral Home through Monday, November 21, 2022. Private burial. Services for Jean are scheduled for Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Craddock Memorial Chapel. A reception and time of visitation will immediately follow.
