Craddock Funeral Home. Kay remembered growing up in a wonderful and caring home. Her parents owned Ponca Wholesale Supply Company. She had fond memories of running around the warehouse among the aisles of candy. Independent, Kay joined the workforce at 17. She enjoyed working. She was a quick learner and had a strong work ethic. Before moving to Ardmore, she worked at the Sheppard Air Force Base Credit Union where she excelled.

In 1982, she moved the family with her new husband, Clayton Boyd, to Ardmore, Oklahoma. Together they opened successful small finance companies. In her spare time, Kay enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and fishing. “Mama Kay” created a welcoming home that many of Kelli’s friends made their second home. In 1992, Kay and her son Chris opened a clothing store, The Rage. For 29 years, they worked together and created something very special a store where employees and customers were like family. Kay had many roles at the store including bookkeeper, stocker, stylist, and often a therapist to customers who valued her opinion on life topics. Countless friends and a lifetime of memories were made at the store. Kay is survived by her children, Chris Peters and Kelli Dighton, grandchildren Joe Dighton, Bodi Dighton, and Audrey Peters. And a dog named Daisy aka “NoNo”.

In lieu of flowers, please save your money. Kay thought flowers were pretty, but a waste of money. She would tell you to buy some groceries and make a good meal at home.
