Lloyd Raymond Lowery

After a long, wonderful life, God called Lloyd Raymond Lowery, 92, of

Mansfield, Texas home on Thursday, December 1, 2022. He was born on January 1, 1930, in Greasy Bend, Oklahoma to the late Willie Rayford Lowery and Clellie Mae Loftis Lowery. Lloyd was raised in Greasy Bend and attended the Mannsville Schools. He gave his life to the Lord at the age of 27 and never stopped learning and sharing the love of God. Lloyd graduated from Bible Baptist Seminary, in Arlington Texas in May 1969. While serving and teaching Sunday School at Meyers Road Baptist church, in Grand Prairie, TX he met and fell in love with Mollie J. Watson. They married in November of 1975 and celebrated 47 wonderful years of marriage. Lloyd worked for General Motors and retired after 34 years of service. He was also part of the UAW Riding Team, where he enjoyed driving his team of horses in parades all over the state of Texas.

He is survived by: Wife: Mollie Lowery, Mansfield, Texas Children: Rickey Lowery and wife Claudia, Waskom, TexasJames Watterson and wife Michelle, Fairfield, TexasLeland Lowery, Mansfield, Texas.Janice Ames and husband Ed, Thackerville, Oklahoma Cathy Marshall and husband Duane, Glen Rose, TexasAmy Lowery-Evans, Mansfield, Texas Siblings: Jody Lowery, Springtown, Texas Willie Lowery and Mary, Mannsville, Oklahoma Shirley Johnson, Mannsville, Oklahoma Sister-in-law: Norma Lowery, Collinsville, Texas Grandchildren: Rickey Lowery Jr, Robin Lowery- Falcon, Sunny Rickwa, Joe Rickwa, Janelle Ibarra, Haley Lane, Clara Watterson, Baylor Watterson, Azauria Watterson, Jamie Redmon, Zelma Redmon, Jalia Evans, Izabelle Guerra, Leland Lowery Jr, Jackie Lowery 22 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charlie “Bud” Lowery and wife Leatrice Joy Lowery; brother Charles “Donnie” Lowery; brother Willis Lemuel Lowery; sister Wanda Gean Lone and husband Virgil Lone; child Daniele Lowery-Smith; grandchild David Smith; nephew Alan Lowery; and father-in-law Rev. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Duane Marshall will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Lone Cedar Cemetery, Greasy Bend, Oklahoma. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
