Mickie Lois (Morrison) Dill was born February 1, 1948 to Mary (Dudley) and John Franklin Morrison in Ardmore, OK. She passed from this life on January 26, 2022 at the age of 74.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 30, at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Brenden Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery with Deacon Juan Jimenez.
Mickie was the oldest of the Morrison’s six children. She saw a lot of the United States during her childhood, including Hawaii, as her father had a career in the U.S. Army and was frequently reposted. One assignment was in Casper, Wyo., where she met David Dill.
They were married October 13, 1964, in Casper, and moved to Ardmore in 1974 where they raised their children, Traci, David, and Melissa.
For years, she was a familiar face in local real estate. Mickie was a Million Dollar Producer at Maureen Realty nine years running. She served as the Southern Oklahoma Board of Realtors President three times over a 15-year span. She was also vice president of the Southern Oklahoma Board of Realtors.
Mickie loved all holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s birthday parties. She enjoyed music and hit the concert scene in the 1980s seeing Eddie Rabbit, Alabama and George Strait.
She was a big part of the Plainview Booster Club when children Traci, David, and Melissa were in school. and acted as a Room Grammy at Oak Hall School for her grandchildren. She loved traveling to Wisconsin and visiting Melissa and her family.
Mickie served as church secretary at House of Prayer for several years and later became involved with the Women’s Club at St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she was a member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Dill; her parents, John and Mary Morrison; daughter, Dana Marie Dill; and brother, Buddy Morrison.
She is survived by children Traci Dragg, and her husband, Matt, of Ardmore; David Dill, and his wife Robin, of Ardmore; Melissa Miller, and her husband, Hal, of St. Francis, Wis.; grandchildren Hannah Langley, and her husband, Dustin, of Overbrook; Derick Massey, and fiance, Hillary Richt, of Norman; Emily Hobson, and her husband, Dayton, of Ardmore; Nathan Miller, of Milwaukee, Wis.; Cameron Miller, of Wauwatosa, Wis.; Olivia Miller of Green Bay, Wis.; and Carson Dill, of Ardmore; and great-grandchildren Mia Langley and Aiden Langley, both of Overbrook; and her dog, Macie.
