ACS psychologist named Oklahoma School Psychologist of the Year

Amy Howe, a dedicated school psychologist for Ardmore City Schools, received the prestigious Oklahoma School Psychologist of the Year award. The nomination was submitted by Lisa Moore, Director of Special Services for Ardmore Schools, in recognition of Mrs. Howe’s outstanding contributions to the field of school psychology and her tireless commitment to the students, families, and educators she serves.

Mrs. Howe has been instrumental in developing the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework for Ardmore City Schools, a critical initiative designed to enhance academic and behavioral outcomes for all students. She has conducted districtwide professional development on key areas such as task initiation, emotional coping skills, verbal and physical aggression, and restorative practices, equipping teachers with the tools they need to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.

Mrs. Howe will become the state’s nominee for the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) School Psychologist of the Year award.
