It’s no secret that the Madill High School girls basketball team had a successful campaign as it advanced to the state tournament for the first time in program history. The Lady Wildcats finished with a 26-3 overall record, with all three losses against ranked opponents – including Lincoln Christian, the Class 4A State Champion.
The 2024-25 All-Lake Country Conference team reflects that as Madill’s Elexis Holmes earned MVP honors, while E’Niyah Holmes was named Newcomer Player of the Year and the Lady Wildcats were selected as team champion. Madill’s Eric Holmes rounds it out as Coach of the Year.
Meanwhile, Lone Grove’s Madison Torres was honored as Defensive Player of the Year and Kingston’s Joley Heydon was named Offensive Player of the Year.
The All-Conference team features Dickson’s Brilee Williams, Lone Grove’s Sadie Hockersmith and Rayahna White along with Plainview’s Abby Chaney.
Other selections include Madill’s Arlette Andrade, La’Miyah Brown and Luciana Douglas, Marietta’s Liliana Fernandez and Sulphur’s Jayden Lee.
The Kingston trio of Jaci Herndon, Avery Ludrick and Cassidy Walker are the final area honorees.
