A wildfire burning off Oswalt Road in Love County on Monday was extinguished at about 3 a.m. on Tuesday, after burning about 250 acres of land, said Tracey Smithwick, emergency management officer for Love County.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs was called to assist with the blaze. A bulldozer was used to create a fire break and the BIA also aided with creating back fires.
