Taylor Moore of Edmond won individual honors at the Red River Team Cup Challenge played at Dornick Hills over the weekend.

The event brings together 112 high school golfers from the Texas and Oklahoma junior golf associations for a weekend of competition.

Texas won the overall title, retaining the cup it won last year.

Top high school players from both states were competing over the weekend. Many have already signed with colleges to play golf. Moore is signed to play at Arkansas.

On Sunday he had birdies on holes No. 3 and No. 7. He had a bogey on No. 4, and he made par on all the others. He was one stroke behind the leader at the end of Saturday at 70. He shot a 69 Sunday.
Abe, Lakareber of Angleston, Texas was the top girl finisher with a 140, with a 70 each day. Only Moore scored lower.

Nick Heinen of Edmond was the leader after Saturday with a 69. He shot a 74 on Sunday and finished tied for fourth overall.

Moore and Standley Preston of Plano, Texas both had a 70 on Saturday. Sunday Preston shot a 71 to finish second.
