ADA – East Central's men's basketball team had a strong second half and earned a come-from-behind win over Southern Arkansas 61-55 in Great American Conference action.
For the first time this season, the Tigers (5-7, 2-4 GAC) saw double-doubles from two players in the same game. Junior Colby Carr garnered his third-straight with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while junior Jason Williams earned his first of the season with 10 points and 10 boards.
Senior De'mario Fountain was the final player for ECU with double-digits in the points column (12).
The ECU women earned a more decisive win over Southern Arkansas, 84-47.
The Lady Tigers (10-2, 5-1 GAC) were led by sophomore Erin Walling, who tallied a career-best 16 points and four assists. Walling was joined in double digits in the scoring column by fellow sophomore Dilan Webster (14) and senior Lindsay McCown (10).
ECU had a strong shooting night, hitting 57.1 percent (32-of-56) of its shots and 50 percent (6-of-12) from 3-point range.
