Services for Nadine Wilson Dinwiddie, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, at the First Baptist Church with the Reverends Willie J. Tiller Jr. and Abraham Walton officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday evening, February 15, at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Nadine Wilson Dinwiddie was born May 17, 1923, to the late Banks and Lillie Roberts Wilson in Springer, Okla.
Nadine attended Lincoln Consolidated School. At an early age, she accepted Christ at the Calvary Baptist Church. She later united with the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
She married Theophilus Dinwiddie and to this union three children were born, Arquilla, Linda and John.
Nadine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and preparing delicious food for family and friends. She will be remembered for her quiet respectful spirit, unconditional love for family and friends and one who loved the Lord.
God called her home on Saturday, February 9, 2013. She left to forever cherish her memory, two daughters, Arquilla Smith, Dallas, Texas, and Linda Moore and husband, Raymond, Ardmore, Oklahoma; one son, John Dinwiddie, Ardmore, Oklahoma; one sister, Mattie L. McAfee, San Diego, California; former son-in-law, Eugene D. Jones III, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a rich abundance of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Bertha Mae Wilson; sisters, Ora Mae Jackson Genetta Thompson and Betty Morris; and her brother, Sherman Wilson.
