The big top will once again grace Ardmore's skyline this week as the Kelly Miller Circus makes its final stop of the year in town.

Starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, the public can watch as the tent is raised at the northeast corner of Commerce Street and Veterans Blvd. Spectators will get to see man and machine, as well as the show's elephants, raise the big top in a fashion that few circuses use anymore.

After the tent is set up, spectators can peruse the facilities and see the various animals of the show. Showtimes are 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and feature camels, clowns, dogs, ponies, aerialists, acrobats, tigers and the show's famous elephants.

Tickets bought in advance are $10 for adults and $6 for children, and can be purchased at various Ardmore businesses displaying the circus flyer in the front window. Tickets bought the day of are $15 for adults and $7 for children.
