Ellen “Charlene” Jackson went into our precious saviors arms on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. She left this earth just as she lived with grace and faithfulness. Charlene was born to James and Margaret McNeil on Jan. 29, 1936, in Odessa, Texas. She was an only child, so she was the apple of their eye. They have since gone to be with the Lord.

She graduated from high school in Andrews, Texas. She met the love of her life while attending high school. Tommy Ewing Jackson and Charlene were married May 7, 1954. They had a wonderful marriage and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 7th. They left a wonderful example of a successful marriage. From this union, they had three daughters, Brenda Strickland and her husband, Stan of Howe, Texas, Tomi McNairn of Lone Grove, and Jamie Richardson and husband, Tim of Rhome, Texas. She and Tommy were blessed to have six grandchildren. Michelle Williams, whom preceded her in death, Allison McGill, Kelly Evans, Brian Strickland, Melanie Martin and Chad McNairn. They also have eight great-grandchildren. Charlene loved her church and all of her friends. We have all been blessed to have been a part of her life. We will say goodbye for now till we meet again. We love you.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at The First Baptist Church of Ardmore with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:30 this evening at Craddock Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Stan Strickland, Tim Richardson, Brian Strickland, Chad McNairn and Jared McGill. Honorary bearers will be Clay Evans, Dustin Martin, Tyler Stufflebean and Leo Chaney.
